Hummus Sandwich on Wholegrain Bread
Chickpeas are a source of protein and when combined with bread, they help get complete protein that provides essential amino acids. After a strenuous workout, proteins can help the muscles recover and get back in action.

Ingredients
Wholegrain bread,large (toasted) | 50gm |
Chickpeas (boiled) | 30gm |
Tahini (sesame seed paste) | 10gm |
Lemon juice | 10gm |
Garlic (crushed) | 2-3 cloves |
Cumin powder | ¼ tsp. |
Mixed herbs | ½ tsp |
Salt | As per taste |
Olive oil | 5ml |
Water | 1 Tbsp. |
method of preparation
1. Blend the chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, cumin powder, salt and tahini to make a creamy puree. Add water to obtain the desired coarse consistency.
2. Drizzle the oil and mixed herbs onto the puree.
3. Spread 1 tbsp. on each slice of whole grain bread and savour it!
