Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon

Sufiya Sufi Runner

My name is Sufiya Sufi.
I am 37 and an ultra-distance runner.
Running is the best thing that happened to me. It all started to improve my fitness and coming out from that tedious and frustrating airport life where I worked as a Ground handling staff for almost ten years, it was all odd shifts.

My first ever run was a 3 km long in my society park in April 2017. And first official marathon was Delhi Half Marathon in November 2017.

After that, it has become my passion. I participated in many official marathons and ultra-marathon events and got some podium finishes.

I did my first long-distance run challenge in March 2018. It was 720 km long, and it took me 16 days to complete that run. It boosted my confidence, and I was just furious about my endurance and strength and wanted to explore more about how long I could go.
So, in 2019, I decided to run from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, The Trans India Run Challenge. I ran almost 4000 km in 87 days (13 days before the world record timeline), became the fastest female runner to run from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, and set the new world record.

In 2021, I completed my 2nd world record running challenge, The Golden Quadrilateral Run Challenge; it was 6000 Km long. I not just completed the challenge but broke the previous record by 82 days.
After Golden Quadrilateral Run, I ran on one of the world’s most challenging roads, The Manali to Leh Highway.
I trained myself harder to survive on this route. And all that training paid off when I became the fastest female runner to run on this highway. I completed that Manali-Leh Running challenge in 6 Days and 12 hours.

In July 2022, I completed my 4th expedition, The Siachen-Kargil Run (470 KM in 6 days and 8 hours). It was a tribute run to our army Bravehearts on the Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Now I am preparing for my upcoming running expeditions.
